ViewLink, a product of Maja Technologies (Pty) Ltd ("ViewLink", "we", "us", or "our"), is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and what rights you have. It applies to all users of viewlink.dev and our related services.
This policy is governed by the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA) of South Africa. If you are located in the European Union or European Economic Area, additional rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) also apply to you, as described below.
When you create a ViewLink account, we collect your full name and email address. When you subscribe to a paid plan, we collect billing information — however, your card details are processed directly by DodoPayments (dodopayments.com), which acts as Merchant of Record, and are never stored on our servers. We store only a tokenised reference provided by DodoPayments for billing purposes.
To deliver the core service, we collect the MT5 broker server address and account number you provide during setup, as well as TradingView alert metadata (such as alert names, triggered values, and timestamps) that passes through our relay infrastructure. We do not collect or store your MT5 account password.
We also collect usage and analytics data automatically through PostHog. This includes pages visited, features used, session durations, and general interaction patterns. Our customer support platform, Crisp, is active within the authenticated dashboard and may collect your name, email, and the contents of any support conversations you initiate with us.
We use your personal information to create and manage your account, deliver the alert relay service, process subscription payments, provide customer support, and send you transactional emails such as billing receipts and service notices. We use analytics data to understand how the product is being used and to improve it. We do not use your data for advertising purposes, and we do not sell your personal information to any third party.
We work with the following third-party service providers who process personal data on our behalf:
DodoPayments (dodopayments.com) acts as Merchant of Record and handles payment processing. Your card details are processed by DodoPayments in accordance with PCI DSS Level 1 standards. ViewLink does not store or process your card details.
PostHog provides product analytics and stores usage data on servers in the European Union. Crisp provides our live chat and support ticketing infrastructure within the authenticated dashboard. Microsoft Azure and Vultr provide the cloud infrastructure on which our backend relay service and dedicated MT5 execution environments run.
Each of these processors is bound by data processing agreements and is required to handle your data in compliance with applicable law.
We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active. If you cancel or request deletion, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law. Anonymised or aggregated analytics data may be retained indefinitely.
We use cookies and similar tracking technologies on our website and dashboard. PostHog sets analytics cookies to help us understand how visitors use our platform. Crisp sets cookies to support the live chat widget and maintain support session continuity. We also use session cookies that are strictly necessary for authentication and keeping you logged in. We do not use advertising cookies or track your activity across third-party websites.
If you are located in South Africa, you have the right to request access to the personal information we hold about you, to request that we correct any inaccurate information, to request the deletion of your personal information (subject to legal retention requirements), and to object to the processing of your personal information where we rely on legitimate interest as our basis for processing.

If you are located in the European Union or EEA, you have additional rights under the GDPR, including the right to data portability, the right to restrict processing, and the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. Our lawful basis for processing your data is the performance of our contract with you (for service delivery and billing) and our legitimate interests (for analytics and service improvement).
